Refund and Returns Policy

Because we sell living animals, our returns terms are different from an ordinary shop, and the welfare of the bird always comes first. This policy explains our health guarantee and how refunds and returns work. If anything is unclear, email us at clientservice@cockatoobreeder.com before you buy.

Our health guarantee

Every cockatoo we sell is hand-raised, fully weaned, and confirmed healthy before it travels. We back this with a 100% health guarantee: your bird should arrive healthy. We strongly recommend you have your new cockatoo examined by a licensed avian veterinarian within 72 hours of arrival.

If, within that window, a licensed avian vet documents a pre-existing health condition that made the bird unfit at the time of sale, contact us straight away with the vet’s written report. We will work with you in good faith to make it right – through a replacement bird or a refund – on the terms we agree for your situation.

Returns of live animals

For the welfare of the birds, we cannot accept returns for change of mind or because a cockatoo turned out to be more demanding than expected. Cockatoos are a serious, decades-long commitment, which is why we are honest about the reality before you buy – see our guide to whether cockatoos make good pets and our best pet cockatoo comparison to choose the right species the first time.

Deposits

A deposit reserves a specific bird for you and takes it off the market. Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel or do not complete the purchase.

Problems in transit

Please inspect your cockatoo as soon as it arrives. If there is any problem on delivery, contact us within 24 hours at clientservice@cockatoobreeder.com with photos and, where relevant, veterinary documentation, so we can help promptly. See our shipping and delivery policy for how we ship.
