Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern your use of the My Cockatoo Bird website and your purchase of a cockatoo from us. By placing an order you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, email us at clientservice@cockatoobreeder.com before you buy.

About us

My Cockatoo Bird is a cockatoo breeder based at 2715 Delta Pl, Colorado Springs, CO 80910, United States. You can learn more about our cockatoo breeding on our About page.

Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy a bird. An order is accepted once we confirm it. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order – for example if a bird is no longer available, if we have concerns about the bird’s suitability or welfare in the intended home, or if we cannot verify the details provided.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown on each product page and are subject to change until an order is confirmed. Delivery is quoted separately based on your location (see our shipping and delivery policy). Payment is taken through the methods offered at checkout.

Deposits

A deposit may be used to reserve a specific bird. A deposit holds that bird for you and is non-refundable if you cancel or fail to complete the purchase, as the bird has been taken off the market on your behalf.

Health guarantee, delivery and returns

Our birds are covered by a health guarantee, and because they are living animals our returns terms are specific. Please read our refund and returns policy and shipping and delivery policy, which form part of these terms. Title to and risk in the bird pass to you on delivery.

Your responsibilities as a buyer

Cockatoos are a long-term, demanding commitment. By buying from us you confirm that you can provide appropriate housing, diet, attention and veterinary care, and that you are responsible for checking and complying with any local, state or federal laws or permits that apply to keeping your chosen species where you live. Some cockatoos are protected species; it is your responsibility to keep them legally.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with a bird or your order is limited to the price paid for that bird. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Privacy

We handle your personal information as described in our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States.
